INSTRUCTIONS FOR NOTE SUBMISSION
Submitting a note is not a requirement for ELR membership. If you have written an article on a media, entertainment, sports, art or intellectual property issue, this is a great opportunity for publication!
Notes are due March 3rd by 5:00p.m. Late submissions will not be accepted.
REQUIREMENTS:
- The note must be double spaced in Courier 12pt. Font. Footnotes must be triple-spaced.
- The paper may be any length.
- The title page should not contain your name. Put the title of your paper and your student ID number on the cover page.
- Make sure your name does not appear anywhere in the document.
- Prior to submitting the note, e-mail Brian Levy at brilevy@ufl.edu with your name and student ID number so that we may later identify you as the author of your paper.
- Please submit two copies of your note and a CD containing the electronic file of your paper. Write your student ID on the CD.
- Place the two paper copies and the CD in a mailing envelope. Write only your student ID on the exterior of the envelope.
- Turn in the envelope to the ELR box in the journal office on the second floor of Bruton-Geer Hall.
GRADING:
- Notes will be graded anonymously by general board members.
- Notes will be graded on numerous factors, including organization, style, grammar, citations, depth of analysis, and the timeliness and novelty of the selected topic.
- The top scoring notes will be reviewed by the articles editors and the editor-in-chief. The editors will vote on the article to be published.
Good luck!
If you have any general questions, please post the question to the TWEN message board. More specific questions should be sent to Brian Levy at brilevy@ufl.edu
